When asked what I wanted to be when I grow up, I always answered a tank. I want to be a tank. I love tanks because they're invinciblish. Every time I play a game, I ask, Can I be a tank in this game? Yes? Good game. No? Is there a character I can be like a tank? Yes? Its an OK game.
BF1943 has tanks. And those tanks blow the shit out of everything. The frostbite engine is a lot of fun, where destructable environments are done right. There are lots of foilage, objects, and obstacles in the way, and DICE did a good job at being able to run stuff over and cause tons of damage.
While this is one of the funnest games I've played in a while, it is unfortunatley unplayable. Lag is a constant issue, so much so that it becomes an issue just to play the game. Teleporting behind you, inability to navigate through buildings, and not being able to hit your target render the game unplayable.
I seriously hope these lag issues are solved for Bad Company 2.
